What's Next:
May 10-16: The last birds to come through are generally the ones that breed well north of our region.
Waterbirds- Brant, Black Tern, Common Tern, Semipalmated Plover, Black-bellied Plover
late warblers- Tennessee, Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, Mourning
late flycatchers- Alder, Willow, Olive-sided, Yellow-bellied, and Eastern Wood-pewee
That is it for migration! We eagerly await their arrival, and it is over just like that. The local breeders are getting down to business, and some late migrants will trickle through into early June.
